Capital Area Transport Service provides personalized door to door wheelchair-accessible transportation. We service nursing homes, medical offices, rehab facilities, dialysis centers, hospitals, and thousands of individual customers of all ages. Regardless of disability or surgical procedure, we also provide transportation for special events, leisure outings, and airport transportation. Capital Area Transport Service believes and follows core principles of providing safe, reliable, timely, and affordable transportation to the disabled.

We take pride in providing great customer service, on-time transportation, and fair pricing. It’s not surprising that many of our customers after getting to know our drivers, request them by their first names. This speaks to the true character of our company’s and our staff’s friendly long service record.

We are headquartered in Montgomery County Maryland, licensed by Washington Metropolitan Area Transit Commission, and accept most forms of payment, as well as Medicaid and Optum customers. At Capital Area Transport Service we use the newest wheelchair accessible vehicles and can provide our own wheelchairs per request. In addition, our drivers have exceptional driving history, go through thorough background checks, and are trained in proper customer service. A select number of our drivers are volunteer firefighters and have basic medical aid experience.

Our geographical area of non-emergency transportation service has expanded throughout Maryland (Montgomery County, Prince Georges County, Frederick, Baltimore County and Baltimore City), Washington DC, and Northern Virginia (Fairfax County, Loudoun County, and Arlington County).
